The Columbus Crew will announce Tuesday morning that Wilfried Nancy will be their new head coach, and  reported on Monday.

The news follows weeks of speculation that Nancy would not return for another season as head coach of the Club de foot Montréal. Nancy was entering the option year of his contract, and the Crew will need to compensate Montreal for the hiring.

CF Montréal finished the 2022 Major League Soccer season with a 20-9-5 record, second place in the Eastern Conference. Nancy has been a coach with the team since 2016, after Thierry Henry stepped down for family reasons.
